Quest One - Cultural Crusades feat. Brother Useless and Lady Redrum
  
 uBs.  A prosperous kingdom in search of happiness among it's people.  Lady Redrum was just instated as the first of her line and the kingdom is slowly building its way up the ranks.  One of the first buildings to be erected in the kingdom was a Peteran Monastery.  Brother Useless was there to help keep the peasants of uBs on the path to enlightenment with the Watcher.  Yet, strife arose and the Cultural Crusades were slowly coming.
    Religious culture was falling out of style with the new generation that had moved into uBs.  And worse, a cultural fair had come to town - a veritable cornucopia of distractions away from religion.  But was there a way for the clever devotee of the Watcher to use or abuse the cultural fair in order to revive religious faith?  Brother Useless was going to find out what likes pushed the new generation away from religion and use those very likes to bring them back on the path of light.
    The cultural fair in town was attracting a lot of attention.  Yet, faith felt like it was at an all-time low.  Brother Useless bowed his head in his chambers, "I need to ponder this.  I always think well while scrubbing the floors."  So he set about to his task of scrubbing the floors of his personal chambers first.  "My mind is slightly clearer.  It felt like scrubbing away my sins.  Must...scrub...more..."  Brother Useless heads into the sermon area and decides to scrub the floors around there as well.  Finally, it dawned on him, "I understand now...today's generation find my sermons dull.  I've been clinging to old ideas.  I should visit this new-fangled cultural fair."
    Brother Useless travels the short distance down to the town square where the fair is being held.  After a few minutes of being there he is already not impressed, "Yikes...I don't know what half of this stuff is.  Not a religious icon in sight.  I could bless the public bath with holy water.  That would help purify some of these people.  The ones who actually do bath...at least."  After blessing the bath Useless decides he'll need help from a person of higher status.  "That should help a bit at least.  But I need to take a lot more action.  I'll ask Lady Redrum to talk up my next sermon so I can appeal to my congregation."  After a quick jaunt to the castle, Useless finds Lady Redrum looking over the political map in the throne room.  A quick conversation later and Lady Redrum promises that she will mention the sermon and point people towards the church the next day.
    At 6pm sharp the next day, Brother Useless stands at his podium and looks out at a room full of faces.  It appears that Lady Redrum was true to her word.  He starts his solemn sermon, "Welcome, Sisters and Brothers of uBs.  The Peteran church has a problem.  I have a problem.  You are losing touch with faith...because I am losing touch with you.  I know not what you like to read, to say, or to wear.  Whose home you like to get drunk in, I know not.  But I want to change that, starting today."  After closing the sermon, Brother Useless walks amongst the gathered people and asks of some of their wishes.  Farmer Bryant wants cooler looking clothes for the Peteran people.  Basilea wishes they had better liquor.  Tia wishes for better lighting in the church and Cora wishes for better reading material within the church and sermons.  Now that he knows what his people want, Useless heads to the castle for one more bit of advice from Lady Redrum.
    He asks Lady Redrum for fashion advice.  She readily agrees and says she will commission believer robes for his congregation.  After that is taken care of, Brother Useless heads to the cultural fair to find the Magnate of Literature and the Magnate of Liquor.  Alexa tells Useless that he should try writing his own book about his faith to encourage believers.  Aileen provides him with some top shelf liquor which hasn't been labeled yet, so Brother Useless labels it himself in the name of the Watcher to help reel in more of his congregation.  Useless spends the rest of the day working on his book which he titles 'Faith Baste: How to Smother  Yourself in the new Peteran Faith.'  Just as he finishes up his book, Lady Redrum arrives with boxes of clothes for his new people.  They are commission from the best silk money could buy.
    With all the preparations taken care of, Brother Useless delivers books, booze, and new silk garments to his people and mentions that a final sermon will be given later that night.  At 6pm, Useless steps up onto his podium and faces a crowded church full of new clothes and happier people.  The faith of uBs has been restored and strengthened..
